Community & Area Attractions
The view from hole #1.
White Stables is located at the gateway to one of the premier lakefront developments in Eastern Tennessee. This 940 acre peninsula is surrounded by Tellico Lake; a pristine waterway that connects Little Tennessee River and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway to destinations throughout the southeastern United States and beyond. This natural vista is nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, affording residents both water and mountain views while enjoying a quiet, country lifestyle that is less than an hour from downtown Knoxville and even closer to McGhee-Tyson International airport.
In addition to White Stables, the Rarity Bay community houses another privately owned amenity open to non-residents and residents alike -- an 18-hole, par 72 course, championship golf course. The Golf Club, designed by D.J. DeVictor and Peter Langham, is nationally recognized as one of the region’s most aesthetically pleasing courses and is adjacent to a stacked stone, granite, and copper clubhouse evocative of a French country manor. The Clubhouse is open to the public and offers many delicious choices for freshly prepared food that, surprisingly, is more affordable than many fast food alternatives and is served by the friendliest staff imaginable in a setting that says, “This is the life!”
Whether resident or visitor, White Stables at the entrance to Rarity Bay offers equine enthusiasts a day in horse paradise, sharing the avenue with the many amenities of Rarity Bay and just a short ride from Knoxville's cultural opportunites and variety of entertainment options.
And while we acknowledge we may be a bit biased about the appeal and merit of this area- we are not alone in our evaluation-- Rarity Bay was given the Bliss Award for "Best TN Community of the Year: 2014"!
